If you've ever been to a Nissan dealer to buy parts for your Z-car.... you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.  The Nissan dealers still use the old method to look up parts for your Z-car.  They use microfiche.
All of the part numbers are located on these microfiche.   The microfiche must be placed in a projector to be read (unless you have bionic vision).  To determine the number of a particular part, the dealer must look at the assembly diagram, find the number, and then cross reference that number with their pricing data.
If you have a lot of parts to look up, your dealer might not appreciate taking the time to look up all of your part numbers for you.  Wouldn't it be nice to look up your own part numbers?  Wouldn't it be nice to have a set of microfiche and a projector?
Well, you don't need a projector anymore.  All you need is a computer and a CD-ROM drive.  Because we've had all the microfiche scanned!!
The Parts CD will be available very very soon.  The cost will be minimal (around $30 - $40) so that we can pay for the cost to have the conversion and CD's made.  And, we have the sole copyright release directly from Nissan to do this project.  The Datsun 240z-Club has it!  Now, aren't you glad that you're a member?
